Check out what Asus offers in your country. There is a new N76VJ series with high - resolution IPS panel, oriented at gaming and multimedia. N56VJ also, if you are leaning towards 15.6".

HP Envy dv7 is another option that comes at a good price along with few minor flaws which should not necessary spoil the image.

Not sure if $1000 will give you an ideal CAD machine in your country. For a budget like that, something with a higher-end Radeon GPU will be your best bet, followed by something with an APU combination (A6, A8, A10); the GeForce 6xxM/7xxM don't work well at all for the programs you'll likely be running due to being severally gimped CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL, and other technologies (nVidia heavily optimized those GPUs for gaming and absolutely nothing else).
