Should I get an Asus G75VX-BHI7N11 for $816, or
A dell inspiron I17RSE-3589BK for $450

Those are two vastly different laptops with vastly different use cases, so it'd be like asking if a sports car or a minivan would be better, without giving us any background info about how you'll use it. But anyway, I wouldn't even consider any 17.3" laptop with a low-quality 900p display.
