Lamar Odom has gone missing, TMZ are reporting.

The website claims that people close to the NBA star have been unable to find or contact him for the last 72 hours.

The reports come after it was alleged that his wife Khloe Kardashian threw him out of the house on Wednesday.

The couple have been subject to persistent rumours that their marriage is in trouble after Lamar, 33, allegedly cheated on Khloe, 29, with two different women. 

But several sources have told TMZ the real reason behind their marriage crisis is that Khloe reportedly believes that her husband has a drug problem.

Representatives for Lamar did not respond to MailOnline's request for comment.

Earlier this week the Kardashian family allegedly staged an intervention to convince Lamar to return to rehab, but he refused, reports the gossip website.

Khloe urged Lamar in August 2012 to go to rehab and after he entered a San Diego facility she hired private investigators to make sure he didn't leave.

Lamar reportedly constantly threatened to leave the rehab clinic and Khloe visited several times to convince him to stay, but he left after three weeks, sources said.

Khloe was convinced of recent reports of Lamar's infidelity, but feels his drug abuse has been the main problem, the website reported.

Neither Khloe nor Lamar has contacted a divorce lawyer.

Khloe and Lamar got married in 2009 about a month after meeting each other.

Khloe has recently endured reports that Lamar had an affair with Jennifer Richardson for a year until March 2013 and a six-week fling with lawyer Polina Polonsky at the start of the summer.

Wind Farm Report Into House Price Blight

An official Government report into renewable energy will reveal for the first time how wind farms affect rural house prices.

Consultants have been brought in by Environment Secretary Owen Paterson to look at whether renewable technologies drive down property values.

The work is part of a wider cross-government study looking at the effect of renewables on the countryside and rural economy.

Its findings will fuel a coalition rift over onshore wind turbines, with Tory MPs already predicting it will reveal "billions of pounds of planning blight".

Energy Secretary Ed Davey has rejected claims his officials are blocking the study amid anger that Mr Paterson is encroaching on his remit.

"My department is not blocking a Defra report on the impact of wind farms," he wrote in a letter to the Telegraph.

"The Government is committed to moving to a secure, affordable, low carbon energy system, without excessively relying on any single technology.

Ed Davey downplayed any coalition rift

"So, this cross-government study will look at maximising the benefits and minimising the negative impacts of all technologies, including shale gas and nuclear."

The Government stressed the report was a joint project between the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

A spokesman said: "We need to ensure that energy is generated in a way that is sustainable and understand the effects that different technologies have on the environment and on communities across the country.

"DECC and Defra are working together on this report, which is not yet complete, to ensure that it meets the usual standards and quality assurances that you would expect from any Government publication.

"A diverse energy mix is the best way to meet our energy security requirements, our climate change commitments and keep energy bills affordable."

A Defra spokesman added: "It is our role to rural-proof policy. We need to ensure that energy is generated in a way that is sustainable.

"Sustainability includes the economic as well as social and environmental impacts."

Tory MP for Daventry Chris Heaton-Harris claimed one of his constituents had seen their home's value plunge from £700,000 to £250,000 because of wind turbine plans.

But Jennifer Webber, from RenewableUK, told the Telegraph: "All the expert academic research published in this country and abroad over the last few years shows there's no conclusive evidence to suggest that wind farms affect house prices."

U.S. new home sales fall sharply; house prices rise

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sales of new single-family homes in the United States fell sharply in July to their lowest level in nine months, casting a shadow over the country's housing recovery.

Sales dropped 13.4 percent to an annual rate of 394,000 units, the Commerce Department said on Friday.

While government housing data is often subject to large revisions, the reading was well below expectations and could be a sign that a recent surge in mortgage rates is weighing on the economy.

The data could weaken the case for the U.S. Federal Reserve to reduce its support for the economy by the end of the year. It also casts doubt on Wall Street expectations that the Fed will begin reducing monthly bond purchases next month.

"The higher mortgage rates are having an impact on the housing market," said Scott Brown, chief economist with Raymond James in St. Petersburg, Florida. "That makes tapering (bond purchases) somewhat less likely."

Yields on U.S. government debt dropped following the data's publication.

Mortgage rates have risen sharply since May on bets that the Fed will begin reducing its bond purchases soon. The program aims to lower interest rates to make it easier for businesses to expand and take on new workers.

The housing market, which has been a major drag on the U.S. economy since the 2007-09 recession, appeared to turn a corner early last year when home prices began to rise.

Last month, the median price for a new home sale rose to $257,200, up from $237,400 in the same month of 2012.

Construction of new homes has accelerated over the last year, and the inventory of new homes for sale increased by 4.3 percent in July from June.

But higher interest rates could be taking some of the air out the recovery. The government revised sharply lower its estimate for new home sales in May and June.

At July's sales pace it would take 5.2 months to clear the houses on the market, up from 4.3 months in June. A supply of six months is normally considered a healthy balance between supply and demand.

House prices in July increased at their fastest rate in three years, according to new figures from Nationwide.

The monthly index shows the price of houses in the UK rose by 0.8% last month and were 3.9% higher compared to the same period last year.

The annual rise is the strongest since August 2010 and takes average prices to £170,825.

It comes as some lenders and estate agents say they have seen improvement in the housing market, helped by Government initiatives.

Nationwide's chief economist, Robert Gardner said the latest figures provide "further evidence of an upturn in the housing market".

He explained: "Signs of a modest improvement in wider economic conditions and further modest gains in employment are likely to be lifting buyer sentiment. 

"An improvement in the availability and a reduction in the cost of credit, partly as a result of policy measures such as the Funding for Lending and Help to Buy schemes, are also boosting the demand for homes."

Mortgage rates across the market have plummeted since the Government launched the Funding for Lending scheme a year ago, giving lenders access to cheap finance.
